With Africa boasting vast hydrocarbon reserves, including approximately 125.3 billion barrels of crude oil and 620 trillion cubic feet of proven gas, there exists significant potential for lucrative investment opportunities.

Collaborations between African nations and global exploration and production (E&P) firms are crucial for maximizing the development and utilization of these reserves, making partnerships with companies like Kosmos Energy indispensable.

At this year’s AEW conference, Kosmos Energy will continue its dialogue on bolstering investments in Africa, building upon previous discussions. As a prominent investor in the continent’s energy sector, Kosmos Energy has played a pivotal role in advancing projects in Senegal, Mauritania, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea.

In Senegal and Mauritania, Kosmos Energy is spearheading projects such as the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim liquefied natural gas (LNG) project and the Yakaar-Teranga project. These initiatives are poised to significantly contribute to gas production and further economic development in the region.

In Ghana, Kosmos Energy’s investments have been instrumental in expanding production and promoting environmental sustainability through initiatives to reduce gas flaring. Additionally, the company is actively supporting the development of Ghana’s youth through programs like the Kosmos Innovation Center.

In Equatorial Guinea, Kosmos Energy continues to make strides in optimizing production and exploration activities, contributing to the country’s energy sector growth.
