UNILAG Awards 379 First-Class Degrees Among 17,464 Graduating Students at Convocation
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to graduate 17,464 students, with 379 achieving First Class honors at its 54th convocation. The convocation is scheduled to take place from Monday, January 15 to Friday, January 19, 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, shared this information during a pre-convocation media briefing, revealing that the convocation lecture would focus on “Decolonising African Higher Education for Transformational Development.”
The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Toyin Falola from the University of Texas at Austin, and Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi, a former Pro-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, will serve as the chairman of the event.
