Tinubu to Deliver Inaugural Address to Local and International Oil Industry Stakeholders at Energy Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is slated to deliver his inaugural keynote address at the upcoming 2024 edition of the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) in Abuja.

The event, scheduled from February 26 to March 1, 2024, at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, will convene a diverse audience comprising local and international stakeholders from the oil and gas industry, financial institutions, and relevant government agencies.

The summit’s theme, “Navigating the New Energy World Order: Security, Transition, and Finance,” underscores the need to address evolving challenges and opportunities in the global energy landscape.

Organized by Brevity Anderson, the summit aims to facilitate discussions and collaborations that transcend geographical boundaries and elevate Nigeria’s standing in the global energy community.

Alongside President Tinubu, other prominent dignitaries slated to participate include the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, who will deliver the Gas Industry Address, and Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, scheduled to present the Oil Industry Address.

Internationally acclaimed speakers expected at the summit include the Secretary General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais, and Secretary General of the African Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO), Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim, among others.

From the Nigerian oil and gas industry, distinguished speakers include Mr. Abdulrazaq Isa, Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) and Waltersmith Group, and Mr. Osagie Okunbor, Chairman of Shell Companies in Nigeria and Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), among others.

The lineup also features industry leaders such as Mallam Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mrs. Elohor Aiboni, Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), and Mr. Adewale Tinubu, Group Chief Executive Officer of Oando Plc, among others.
