The Aggregator Platform (TAP) Celebrates Four Years of Impactful Hunger Alleviation Efforts.
Initiated in April 2020 to respond to the urgent need for hunger relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, TAP emerged as a symbol of hope, filling gaps in feeding programs alongside existing efforts by government, public, and private sectors, as well as NGOs. Since then, TAP has flourished with the support of donors and volunteers from within the Oando community.
Over the past four years, TAP has expanded its approach beyond simple feeding programs, adopting a comprehensive strategy of feeding, empowering, and uplifting. Beneficiaries not only receive meals but also acquire valuable skills, enabling them to generate income and enhance their livelihoods.
TAP’s impact is tangible, reaching approximately 8,645 households and 37,550 individuals across 33 communities in Lagos. Collaborating with 11 implementing partners, including Lagos Food Bank, Abraham’s Tent, and Siddiqah Foundation, TAP has made significant strides in reducing food insecurity among underprivileged populations.
Recent achievements include successful food donation drives in partnership with Siddiqah Foundation, benefiting over 300 families each in Ebute Metta, Igbo-Efon Community, and Bariga Community.
