Vice President Kashim Shettima has inaugurated the Ultra-Modern MSME Clinics Fashion and ICT Hubs in Makurdi, Benue State, with the potential to create approximately 48,000 jobs annually. The inauguration ceremony, held in the state capital, highlighted the federal government’s commitment to fostering small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and driving economic growth in Nigeria.
Represented by Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Vice President Shettima expressed confidence that the new hub in Benue would meet global standards. He emphasized that the rapid completion of the project, following the MSMEs Clinic launched earlier this year, reflects the Tinubu administration’s dedication to supporting entrepreneurs and creating a conducive business environment.
According to a statement by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Office of the Vice President, the Benue Fashion & ICT Hub is one of the largest MSME hubs ever commissioned by the federal government. The hub is equipped with over 200 pieces of cutting-edge equipment for fashion manufacturing and more than 100 ICT devices, enabling it to ramp up production, provide ICT training, and achieve economies of scale.
