Senator Jarigbe Hosts WIEN, Advocates Gender Inclusion in Energy Sector
Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, welcomed the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of gender inclusion in the energy sector.
Led by President Eyono Fatayi-Williams, WIEN reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s energy sector. Senator Jarigbe pledged support for WIEN’s vision, aligning with Nigeria’s goals of economic development and social equity.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Jarigbe highlighted WIEN’s advocacy for gender inclusion, noting its potential to enhance industry innovation. He stressed the importance of mentorship for future female leaders in energy.
WIEN President Mrs. Eyono Fatayi-Williams praised Senator Jarigbe’s support and expressed readiness to collaborate on energy transition initiatives. The visit also honored Senator Jarigbe for his advocacy for diversity and inclusion in the Senate.
