MEMAN Boosts Distribution Network by 300 Million Litres to Alleviate Fuel Queues
Mr. Huub Stokman, Chairman of MEMAN, affirmed the organization’s proactive measures in coordinating with its members across Apapa and other locations to expedite the loading and distribution of PMS to retail outlets, with the aim of easing the current challenges faced by consumers.
Stokman emphasized MEMAN’s collaboration with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and other stakeholders to mitigate fuel queues and restore stability in the market. The association is also receiving support from the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) and the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD).

In a bid to ensure uninterrupted loading activities, MEMAN has extended depot loading times, including tomorrow, May 1, 2024. Moreover, selected retail outlets will operate for extended hours to cater to customers’ needs safely and efficiently. Independent marketers, both at depots and stations, will receive additional allocations of PMS to alleviate the scarcity.
MEMAN reiterated its commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s distribution efforts and ensuring the availability of petroleum products nationwide, underscoring its dedication to addressing the current fuel shortage in Nigeria.
