Proserve Energy Services Ltd, a local energy firm, has won the concession and construction contract for 750 kilowatts (kw) hybrid solar plant at Power House, Federal Ministry of Power, Works, and Housing in Abuja.
The Managing Director/CEO of Proserve, Dr. Abba Ibrahim, disclosed this yesterday when he briefed newsmen about the innovative renewable energy project. Dr. Ibrahim said his firm was working with other technical partners that include Solventic of Germany, Huawei, and a South African firm to deliver the project which has an initial 10-year concession period subject to renewal.
The solar plant will be the second on grid plant in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as it will deliver excess power to the national grid through Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) just like the plant constructed by Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the Lower Usuma Dam Solar plant.
