Oyetola Unveils Ambitious Plan to Modernize Nigeria’s Ports
The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has announced a comprehensive plan to modernize Nigeria’s ports, aiming to enhance efficiency, attract investors, and position the nation as a key player in the global maritime industry.
Oyetola detailed the government’s commitment to upgrading port infrastructure and streamlining processes through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Speaking at the recently concluded Business Day Maritime Conference, the Minister highlighted significant initiatives such as the National Single Window and the Deep Blue Project, both designed to improve port operations and security.
“We are committed to enhancing the ease of doing business, modernizing ports, and attracting private sector investments through Public-Private Partnerships,” Oyetola stated on his verified X handle. “Initiatives like the National Single Window and the Deep Blue Project are crucial for improving port operations and security.”
