NSCDC Enhances Measures to Safeguard National Infrastructure in Lagos
Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has implemented new strategies to protect critical national infrastructure and assets in Lagos State. The announcement was made by the state’s Commandant, Mr. Sunday Keshinro, during the 4th edition of the command’s Public Relations (PR) Clinic held on Thursday.
Keshinro emphasized the importance of raising awareness among NSCDC personnel and the public about the agency’s role in safeguarding national assets. He stated that the PR Clinic served as a platform to engage stakeholders in developing and improving strategies to protect critical infrastructure in Lagos.
During a panel session, Lagos Police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin underscored the importance of peaceful protests. While he acknowledged citizens’ right to protest as upheld by the courts, he advised organizers to notify the police to ensure security and protection against potential hijackers or violent disruptions.

Barrister Felix Ogunmade echoed the sentiment, noting that protests are legitimate expressions of displeasure but warned against criminal acts such as vandalism and violence. He urged communities to take active roles in preventing the destruction of infrastructure by fostering engagement and awareness.
