NNPC-SNEPCo Donates Medical Equipment to Boost Surgeries in Nigeria

In a significant boost to healthcare services in Nigeria, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) have donated vital medical equipment to the Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation (BOF). The initiative will support nearly 5,000 fibroid and hernia surgeries, as well as dental procedures for another 5,000 patients across underserved communities in the South-West, North-Central, and South-South regions.

Speaking on the partnership, SNEPCo Managing Director Ronald Adams, represented by Health Manager and Transformation Dr. Ajike Oladoyin, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility, particularly in areas with limited medical services.

Oluwaseyi Omotowa, Chief Upstream Investment Officer of NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), reaffirmed NNPC’s dedication to corporate social responsibility. Represented by Deputy External Relations Manager Edith Lawson, Omotowa stated, “This donation underscores our commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery and fostering sustainable development in Nigeria. We recognize the challenges healthcare providers face and aim to ease these burdens for more efficient and effective medical care.”

Dr. Benjamin Olowojebutu, head of BOF, expressed gratitude for the contribution, highlighting its impact on upcoming medical outreaches in Kwara (North-Central), Ekiti (South-West), as well as Ebonyi and Bayelsa in the South-East and South-South regions.
