NLNG Pledges to Boost Operational Efficiency in Nigeria’s Domestic LPG Supply

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing the operational efficiency of its domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply chain, working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive sustainable growth in Nigeria’s energy sector.

During a recent stakeholder engagement session held in Lagos, NLNG unveiled its strategic plans to improve the efficiency and reliability of its LPG supply through the digitalisation of key processes. Central to this initiative is the introduction of a new digital platform designed to streamline regulatory procedures, strengthen risk management, and significantly enhance the customer experience. Key features of the platform include IT-supported relationship management, automated issue resolution, real-time centralised payments, and robust case management systems—all aimed at ensuring a seamless and efficient supply process, regardless of market fluctuations and external challenges.

Tolulope Longe, Manager, Commercial Contract Management at NLNG, emphasised that these enhancements are in line with the company’s commitment to delivering 100% of its LPG supply to the Nigerian market.

“Our strategic roadmap is focused on making LPG more accessible and available nationwide, while reinforcing our vision of being a globally competitive energy company that improves lives sustainably,” she stated.

Longe highlighted the importance of these operational upgrades, stressing NLNG’s drive to promote LPG utilisation as a cleaner alternative to kerosene and other fossil fuels. She reiterated the company’s long-term focus on fostering growth and stability in Nigeria’s LPG market by continually refining its supply processes in close collaboration with offtakers and stakeholders.

Additionally, NLNG pledged to work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to maintain price stability and ensure the long-term viability of the market. While acknowledging prevailing industry concerns, Longe underscored that improving operational efficiency is critical to meeting the growing demand for LPG across the country.

NLNG’s strategy includes strengthening stakeholder relationships, minimising supply chain disruptions, ensuring timely confirmations and deliveries, and prioritising customers with demonstrated capacity. As the company continues to adapt to evolving market dynamics, it remains steadfast in its mission to drive sustainability, foster market efficiency, and deliver lasting value to Nigerians.
