Nigerian Navy Destroys 10 Illegal Refinery Sites in Bayelsa.

The Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base in Brass, Bayelsa State, has successfully destroyed 10 illegal refinery sites, a speedboat, and a total of 100,000 liters of stolen crude oil in Nembe local government area.

Captain Ifeanyichukwu Mabeokwu, Commanding Officer of the Forward Operating Base (FORMOSO), addressed journalists while overseeing the destruction of the sites. He reported that the 10 illegal refining sites, containing approximately 80,000 liters of illegally refined diesel and 100,000 liters of stolen crude oil, were discovered early Thursday morning at the Nembe Creek. The discovery was made possible through the deployment of high-resolution drone technology.
