Nigerian Minister Meets Tompolo, Others over Crude Oil Theft
The Federal Government has met with an ex-agitator and the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, over crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
The Minister of Niger Delta Development, Mr. Abubakar Momoh, also met with the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Oboro-Gbaraun II, as part of his consultation efforts to address the challenges in the oil-rich region.
Momoh was accompanied by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, and other top government officials.

The meeting which held in Oporoza, Warri Southwest Local Government Area of Delta State, saw to deliberations on strategies to combat crude oil theft and improve infrastructure in the Niger Delta.
The Minister who said he came on the behest of the President, appealed for continued efforts in upholding peace in the region, in order to facilitate crude oil production and eradicate oil theft.
