Nigeria Oil and Gas Forum Honors Dr. Julius Rone, GMD/CEO of UTMOL
Abuja, Nigeria – February 2025 – The Nigeria Oil and Gas Forum Awards 2025 celebrated outstanding contributions to the energy sector, with Dr. Julius Rone, OFR, Group Managing Director/CEO of UTM Offshore Limited (UTMOL), among the distinguished recipients.
A visionary leader in Africa’s oil and gas industry, Dr. Rone has spearheaded transformative projects, including the Floating LNG Project, which is set to make a significant impact on Nigeria, Africa, and the global energy landscape. His leadership continues to drive innovation, economic growth, and sustainable energy solutions.
An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the University of Calabar, Dr. Rone holds an Advanced Diploma and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. With over a decade of experience in the public sector, he is also an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including the Institute of Directors (IoD), American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP), and the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) USA.
As the Charge D’Affaires of the UTM Group, Dr. Rone oversees a diverse portfolio of companies, including UTM Offshore Limited, UTM FLNG Limited, UTM Energy Limited, UTM Dredging Limited, and UTM Logistics and Marine Services Limited, among others. Beyond business, he is a passionate philanthropist and founder of the Julius and Yutee Rone Foundation, committed to social impact.
The award ceremony, held at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Intercontinental Hotel, recognized trailblazers whose vision, dedication, and innovation continue to redefine excellence in the oil and gas industry. Now in its second edition, the prestigious event attracted top industry executives, investors, regulators, and policymakers.
