Nigerdock Delivers Community Projects Worth N1.5 Billion

In a commitment to fostering positive relations with its host communities, Nigerdock, an esteemed oil and gas industry service firm, handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects valued at N1.5 billion to Igbologun, a Lagos community.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at the Igbologun Community in Lagos, Mr. Maher Jamakani, Managing Director of Nigerdock, emphasized that the world-class facilities donated to the community would significantly enhance the lives of its residents. Jamakani highlighted the provision of twenty-four-hour power supply to the community, facilitated by Nigerdock.

Jamakani further revealed that the newly constructed school has a capacity for 800 students and would benefit from uninterrupted power supply. Additionally, the community has been connected to the Eko Distribution Company to ensure continuous power supply.

“These projects, totaling N1.5 billion, include a new police station, a 1.5-kilometer road linking the community to the waterfront, and two school buses,” Jamakani stated. “The power supply facility, connected to the Eko Distribution Company, will undoubtedly revolutionize educational opportunities for youths in the community and neighboring areas.”

The Commissioner for Basic Education and Secondary Education, Tolani Alli Balogun, commended Nigerdock for its significant contribution, noting the transformative impact on education in the region. Balogun emphasized the importance of quality education in the state’s development agenda and praised Nigerdock’s alignment with Lagos State’s vision for educational excellence.
