NDPHC’s New MD, Jennifer Adighije, Pledges to Drive Change Through Technology and Talent
The newly appointed Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije, has pledged to bring about positive transformation within the organization by leveraging technology and human capital. Adighije made this commitment during the handover ceremony held in Abuja on Monday.
In her address, Adighije expressed her appreciation for the smooth transition and extended her gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for the opportunity to lead the NDPHC. She outlined her vision for the company, which is centered on three key pillars: optimizing asset performance, enhancing process efficiency, and harnessing technology and talent for meaningful change.
“Our human capital is our greatest asset,” Adighije emphasized, highlighting the critical role of the workforce in achieving the company’s goals.

She also took the opportunity to commend the outgoing Managing Director, Chiedu Ugbo, for his leadership, suggesting a standing ovation to honor his contributions to the organization. Adighije expressed her eagerness to collaborate with her new team, noting that their diverse backgrounds and expertise would be instrumental in driving the company forward.
Adighije called on all stakeholders to support her team in aligning with President Tinubu’s agenda of accelerating prosperity through energy efficiency, underscoring the importance of collective effort in achieving this goal.
Outgoing MD Chiedu Ugbo, in his farewell remarks, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and praised the NDPHC staff for their dedication and teamwork. He extended his best wishes to Adighije, expressing confidence in her ability to lead the company to new heights and urging the staff to continue their collaborative efforts under her leadership.
Ugbo concluded by praying for the success of the new management team, hoping that they would work together harmoniously and achieve great things during their tenure.
