Minister, Stakeholders, Regulators to drive adoption of LPG and CNG at West Africa’s Largest Expo.

The West Africa LPG Expo 2025, set to take place from March 3 to 4, 2025, in Lagos, will bring together top government officials, industry leaders, and global stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) across the region.

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, will lead discussions at the expo, reaffirming the country’s commitment to clean energy transition. His participation highlights the government’s dedication to fostering innovation, investment, and policies that will reshape Nigeria’s energy sector and set a benchmark for the region.

According to Jeffrey Leung, Director of the LPG Expo, the event will serve as a landmark gathering, attracting over 3,000 industry professionals, 100+ exhibitors, and key decision-makers exploring cutting-edge energy solutions for Africa’s future.

Lagos State’s Role in Clean Energy Development

Mr. Abiodun Ogunleye, Commissioner for Energy, Lagos State Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, will deliver the welcome address, underscoring Lagos State’s strategic role in advancing sustainable energy initiatives.

As West Africa pushes for a shift toward clean, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions, the expo is expected to serve as a premier platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to engage in high-level discussions and explore groundbreaking technologies.

Innovation and Investment in Clean Energy

A key highlight of the expo will be the LPG and CNG Innovations segment, where experts will showcase the latest advancements in technology, infrastructure, and distribution solutions driving clean energy adoption.

Discussions will also focus on Nigeria’s Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG), which aims to transition one million vehicles to natural gas by 2026. This initiative is expected to play a transformative role in West Africa’s energy landscape.
