Kyari urges oil, gas stakeholders to focus more on gas domestication

 

The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd, Mallam Mele Kyari, has called on stakeholders of the oil and gas industry to focus on gas and implored all partners to join NNPC to build and domesticate infrastructure.

Kyari, commended Simbi Wabote for his tremendous contributions to Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

 

The NNPCL GCEO disclosed this in his Keynote address at the 4th Edition of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) 2023, with the theme: “Oil & Gas Industry – Catalyst and Fuel for the Industrialization of Nigeria,”

As part of domestication and partnership for local content, NNPC will supply 300, 000 crude to the Dangote refinery as soon as it comes on-stream.

He noted that the security of Niger Delta is paramount adding that 1.67bpd is being achieved as an objective to get the country’s production back on track. The security agencies are working assiduously to curb oil theft menace that has ravaged the oil industry depleting production.

“Industrialisation is about putting the country’s energy in vantage position to create revenue for it since oil and gas is its main stay,” he said.

Nigeria gets its major earnings from the energy sector and it is in position to support the prosperity of the nation.
