How AOG Deals Are Transforming Angola’s Oil & Gas Industry
Since its launch in 2019, the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) conference has evolved from a discussion forum into the country’s premier platform for deal-making and investment in the energy sector. Now recognized as Angola’s largest oil and gas gathering, AOG has played a crucial role in attracting investments, fostering public-private partnerships, and enhancing regional cooperation in the energy value chain.
As anticipation builds for the 2025 edition, which will be officially launched at a reception event in Luanda on January 28, the focus remains on connecting capital with projects, driving industry collaboration, and propelling Angola’s oil and gas expansion. Here’s a look at the key deals signed at past editions of the AOG conference:
AOG 2024: Strengthening Cross-Border Partnerships
The 2024 AOG conference in Luanda facilitated five major agreements, including:

The conference also introduced an open-door licensing mechanism, allowing direct negotiations between investors and the ANPG outside of traditional licensing rounds.
