Strengthens Commitment to Nigeria’s Energy Transformation, Hosts Katsina State Governor
Genesis Energy Group, a leading provider of integrated energy solutions, reaffirmed its dedication to advancing Nigeria’s power infrastructure by hosting His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State. The Governor’s milestone visit to the company’s Lagos and Port Harcourt facilities highlights the growing collaboration between the public and private sectors in tackling Nigeria’s energy challenges.
During the visit, Governor Radda toured Genesis Energy’s 84MW off-grid power plant at the Port Harcourt Refinery, the largest licensed facility of its kind in the country. The facility plays a crucial role in delivering stable and efficient electricity to key industrial operations. He then proceeded to the company’s Lagos power plant in Banana Island, Ikoyi, which houses 2×7.5MVA and 15MVA Injection Substations, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to commercial and residential areas.
Impressed by the company’s technological advancements and operational efficiency, Governor Radda stated, “I am glad with what I saw. Genesis Energy has demonstrated remarkable capacity in power generation. Their turbine system, operational for over a decade, continues to run at full capacity. This visit has reinforced my confidence in their ability to handle major power projects across Nigeria.”
