Funmi Ogbue Wins ‘Outstanding Woman in Energy’ at WiME Awards

CEO and founder of Zigma, Funmi Ogbue, has been named “Outstanding Woman in Energy (Local Content)” at the 4th edition of the Women in Maritime & Energy (WiME) Awards. The prestigious recognition highlights her significant contributions to gender advocacy and leadership in the energy sector.

The award ceremony, held on Friday, March 28, 2024, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, celebrated women making impactful strides in the maritime and energy industries. Ogbue, who was represented at the event by her son, expressed gratitude for the honor, emphasizing that it validates years of dedication to promoting gender development and driving the growth of her companies, including Zigma Nigeria and JAKE RILEY Limited.

In a congratulatory letter, Tunbosun Afolayan, Executive Director of WiME Awards, commended Ogbue’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and innovation within the energy sector.
