FIRS Records Historic N12.3 Trillion Revenue in 2023
Enugu, Nigeria, April 14, 2024 – The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) achieved an unprecedented milestone in revenue generation, amassing an impressive N12.3 trillion in 2023, according to Mr. Zacch Adedeji, the Chief Executive of FIRS.
Speaking at the FIRS special day during the 35th Enugu International Trade Fair, Adedeji, represented by Mrs. Aisha Ribadu, emphasized the organization’s dedication to fostering a conducive environment for revenue collection. He credited this remarkable achievement to the tireless efforts of the FIRS workforce, highlighting their commitment and proficiency in executing their duties.
Adedeji expressed sincere gratitude to the Enugu State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ECCIMA) for selecting the theme, “Promoting Made-in-Nigeria Products for Global Competitiveness.” This choice, he noted, aligns with FIRS’s vision of supporting local industries and enhancing their global reach.
