EthosEnergy Cements Long-Term Partnership with GPSC

EthosEnergy, a leading independent service provider of rotating equipment services and solutions to the power, oil and gas, industrial, and aerospace markets has been awarded a Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) for gas turbine maintenance, inspection, and repair services by Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC).

GPSC is one of the leading power generation companies in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). The LTSA  between both companies, will run for 12 years and starts in Q1 of 2023.

Operating in over 100 countries, these services include power plant engineering, procurement, and construction; facility operations and maintenance; design, manufacture, and application of engineered components, upgrades, and re-rates; and repair, overhaul, and optimisation of gas and steam turbines, generators, pumps, compressors and other high-speed rotating equipment.

The LTSA covers eight GE Frame 6B gas turbine units at two cogeneration power plants in Rayong: Central Utility Plants 1 and 2 (GPSC CUP-1 and GPSC CUP-2).

These plants use natural gas as a main fuel and supply power and steam to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and industrial customers located at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate. Under the LTSA, EthosEnergy will also provide generator services for the plants.

“This key win shows the value that our customers place on our value-add approach, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do,” said James Edmondson, Commercial Director at EthosEnergy.

“We built an inclusive team around this bid who were relentless in ensuring we hit all of the customer’s key drivers,” said James Edmondson. “The team’s collaborative approach and willingness to listen to new ideas meant we could simplify complex problems and focus on what really mattered to our customer,” Edmondson stated further.

Since 2005 EthosEnergy has had an LTSA with Glow Energy Public Company Limited and Glow SPP2 Company Limited, affiliate companies of GPSC.
