In a move to speed up the development of its local subsidiary (Entrepose DBN), and widen its reach in the nation’s Oil, Gas and industrial sectors, Entrepose Group has formed a strategic partnership of being an EPC contractor with Shoreline through the sale of 51 per cent of the company’ share capital.

Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) is a particular form of contracting arrangement where the EPC Contractor is made responsible for all the activities from design, procurement, construction, to commissioning and handover of the project to the End-User or Owner.

Companies that deliver EPC Projects are commonly referred to as EPC Contractors.

The partnership between Shoreline and Entrepose DBN will target a broad set of opportunities across multiple industries in Nigeria with a specialist focus on the oil and Gas sector.

With a competitive advantage as a world class EPC contractor and the unique in-country manufacturing and engineering capability it operates through its fabrication yards all over Nigeria, Entrepose has proven itself as a leader in the industry it operates in.

The association will allow Entrepose DBN to broaden its reach and target projects with long lasting impact on the Nigeria oil and gas industry.

They include LNG plant expansion, onshore oil and gas fields maintenance and operations, major pipeline developments, and other offshore developments.

This is in pursuance of the Nigerian Content Act in building the nation’s industrial capability for the energy industry.

By welcoming a new shareholder, Entrepose DBN demonstrates its commitment to skills development in Nigeria, and to increasing its impact on the economy.

Speaking, Kola Karim Chairman, Shoreline said, “This is a powerful combination that will deliver superior capabilities for our clients.

“As a Nigerian company, we are very focused on bringing world class EPC capability to projects across the oil and Gas sector.’

On his part, Alain Panhard, Managing Director, Entrepose Group said it is a key step change in the life of DBN which will also strengthen its roots in the country.

He said, “We see our combined technical and commercial forces supporting superior growth in more diverse business arenas.”

Industry watchers believe the collaboration with Shoreline Group which is poised to be the leading indigenous exploration and production company in Nigeria will mean that clients will benefit from three combined strengths: Entrepose Group, VINCI Construction and Shoreline Group of Companies.

According to them, the partnership will also strengthen the operating assets of Entrepose DBN with the addition of fabrication Yards alongside existing assets including offices in Lagos, fabrication yards in Port Harcourt, Warri, Onne Free Trade Zone and Bonny Island.
