Eighth SAIPEC 2024 Reveals Program Highlights
The eighth edition of the Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC) is scheduled to take place at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos from February 13 to 15, 2024.
Hosted by PETAN in strategic partnership with the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), and NNPC Limited, this premier industry event will focus on the theme “The Next Steps: Accelerating African Content,” highlighting significant project opportunities across Africa.
SAIPEC, known for placing local content at its core, plays a crucial role in paving the way for the development of the continent’s untapped energy, oil, and gas resources. With representation from over 30 NOCs, IOCs, governments, and regulators, the event anticipates more than 6,000 attendees from 51 countries, making it the largest edition to date.
The comprehensive SAIPEC program spans five days and features various B2B networking and partnership opportunities. Preceding the main conference, discussions begin on February 12 at the 3rd African Content Series seminar, hosted by NCDMB and PETAN, and attended by select representatives from NOCs, IOCs, regulators, governments, and the private sector.
With over 100 speakers from countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Mozambique, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Niger, Guinea, Uganda, South Sudan, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and Senegal, SAIPEC will delve into the future of the energy, oil, and gas industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Special focus sessions will include discussions on regional collaboration, diversity, equality, inclusion, and youth empowerment programs.
The SAIPEC exhibition, running from February 13 to 15, will be free to attend and feature a record number of exhibitors representing various companies specializing in services across the industry.
