Distinguished Academic Assumes Paramount Leadership Role and Unveils Latest Publication-“Global Dynamics of the Oil Industry”

It is a historic event as Professor Augustine Ikein will be officially crowned as the King of Igbogene Kingdom in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, on December 28, 2023. The occasion will also mark the public release of the King’s latest book, “THE WORLD OIL DYNAMICS,” which has been forwarded by Dr. Rilwan Lukman, the Secretary General of OPEC.

Dignitaries from around the world are expected to attend this dual event. In his book, Professor Ikein philosophically explores the interconnectedness of the world, emphasizing the common destiny of mankind and the global interdependence facilitated by the exchange of strategic resources between nations.

“Oil discovery in selected regions of the world has led to unprecedented breakthroughs in the progress of nations into a higher order of civilization unmatched in human history as the precious substance of great value.
However, oil wealth has also led to pride, greed, and the desire for power creating costly negative externalities driven by conflicts, insurgency, and destruction.

Therefore, a new thinking on pragmatic essentials of cooperation in the management of oil resources is imperative to end oil and gas related wars and conflicts”. Quoting from the new book, one of the reviewers, Dr. Dunni Owo, an Oil and Gas industry mogul and an award-winning author, mentioned that the coronation event is expected to be an eclectic mix of Community, Industry, Academia, and Government.

This suggests that the occasion will bring together diverse stakeholders, creating a unique blend of perspectives from various sectors, including the local community, the oil and gas industry, academic institutions, and government representatives.
