CNL Warns Against False Recruitment Information
Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), the operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and CNL Joint Venture, has issued a cautionary statement regarding the circulation of false recruitment information purportedly originating from CNL and Chevron Corporation.
Reports have emerged of misleading job advertisements and fraudulent job offers being disseminated through various media and online channels, including emails, text messages, and phone calls, falsely claiming to be associated with CNL and Chevron Corporation.
In response, CNL emphasizes that it does not engage in recruitment processes through unsolicited emails, posters, handbills, text messages, social media, or phone calls. Job seekers are advised to verify job opportunities exclusively through the company’s official website at http:/www.careers.chevron.com, as well as national newspapers where legitimate job advertisements from CNL are published.
Furthermore, CNL reaffirms that it does not request any form of payment from job applicants at any stage of the recruitment process. Any job offer demanding financial transactions from candidates is not legitimate and should be reported to law enforcement agencies promptly.
CNL explicitly disassociates itself from all false job adverts and offers disseminated through online media platforms, websites, emails, posters, handbills, or any other medium. The company will not entertain inquiries regarding fraudulent advertisements and job offers.
Job seekers are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communications claiming to be from CNL or Chevron Corporation to the appropriate authorities.
