The Operations and Maintenance Manager of CAPSL Energy, Femi Buoro, has said that the company has developed a technology that monitors remotely and optimizes the performance of gas and aero compressors.

Speaking at the Nigerian Oil and Gas (NOG) Energy Week Conference and Exhibition, Buoro said the compressors would ensure efficiency in terms of gas utilization, bringing down flare and transportation of the gas from the field.

Buoro said, “Nigeria is now a gas country and that means that the trajectory has changed. Nigeria is looking at gas. That is where CAPSL comes in, we are a company that produces reliable and safe energy infrastructure; we are also authorized distributors for key compressors. We have a packaging facility.

“We are actually in the gas compression business, and we need to understand the importance of gas in our generation, even in automobiles in the country right now. We provide services for compressors, engines, turbines, and aero compressors basically. We have also come up with technology to be able to monitor remotely and optimize the performance of these compressors.

“As an organization we see it as an opportunity to plug in and see that there is efficiency in terms of our gas utilization, bringing down flare and transporting them from the field with the aid of gas compressors. We sell genuine AEO spares and aerial spares, we also try to ensure downtime is minimized.

“With our technology, we provide support in the field. CAPSL is into the full spectrum from engineering to procurement, to installation and commissioning of gas compressors. We are into operations and maintenance of these compressors, so we see ourselves in the center of the energy mix in Nigeria, especially gas.”

In terms of capacity building, we have also established a workshop in Warri and we are able to provide support, fumigate valves. What used to happen outside the country we do it in the country now. Most of the services are getting in-country and we train our staff.
