Bayo Ojulari Takes Over as New Group CEO of NNPC Ltd, Vows to Build on Kyari’s Legacy
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has officially ushered in a new era of leadership as Mr. Bayo Ojulari assumed duties as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), taking over from his predecessor, Mr. Mele Kyari.
In a brief yet symbolic handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja, Ojulari received the official handover notes from Kyari, marking a smooth transition of leadership. The ceremony was attended by top management staff and stakeholders of the national oil company.

In his remarks, Ojulari commended Kyari for his outstanding contributions to the transformation and growth of NNPC Ltd, describing him as a visionary leader who served the company and the nation with distinction.
He pledged to consolidate on the remarkable achievements of the outgoing GCEO and chart a new course that would take the company to even greater heights.
“The task ahead is enormous, but with the collective support of the Management and staff, and the valuable counsel of my predecessor, I am confident we will achieve our goals,” Ojulari stated.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and continuity, adding, “I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” as he addressed Kyari directly.
On his part, Kyari congratulated Ojulari on his appointment and expressed gratitude to the entire NNPC Ltd team for their unwavering support during his tenure.
He assured the new leadership of his continued support, promising to remain just a call away whenever needed.
