Bauchi State Honored with Award of Excellence as Best Emerging Player in the Oil and Gas Sector
In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Rana Continental Synergy Limited has bestowed the “2024 Best Emerging State in the Oil and Gas Sector” award upon Bauchi State. Governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir received the recognition during the 2024 Nigerian Oil and Gas Forum and Award Dinner held at the Intercontinental Conference Center, Abuja.
Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the State Commissioner of Natural Resources Hon. Muhammad Maiwada Bello, expressed gratitude for the award and commended the organizers for selecting Bauchi State. He highlighted the alignment of the improved oil and gas sector with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to addressing economic challenges.
The governor attributed the recognition to concerted efforts in policy formulation, security enhancement, and infrastructure development, particularly after the discovery of the Kolmani oil field in the Alkaleri Local Government Area. He emphasized the State’s dedication to creating an enabling environment for oil and gas to thrive, fostering global investment opportunities.
Hon. Maiwada Bello also mentioned the State Government’s commitment to actualizing Oil and Gas Institutions, offering a 50% subsidy on academic fees for interested candidates to encourage mass enrollment.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, represented by the Director of Gas, Mrs. Oluremi Komolafe, acknowledged Bauchi State’s interest and engagement in the energy industry.
