All On and Nigeria Office for Philanthropy and Impact Investing Celebrate Women in Renewable Energy on International Women’s Day
In honor of International Women’s Day 2024, All On, a prominent impact investing firm dedicated to advancing Nigeria’s renewable energy sector, along with The Nigeria Office for Philanthropy and Impact Investing (NPO), recently established under the auspices of the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, gathered at a soirée to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in renewable energy. The event aimed to recognize their accomplishments and leadership within the industry.
Under the theme ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’, the gathering sought to explore avenues for collectively fostering a more inclusive and sustainable future for women in Nigeria. Additionally, it served as a platform to reaffirm All On’s steadfast commitment to driving positive change in Nigeria’s renewable energy landscape, aligning with NPO’s mission to promote impact investing, sustainable development, and economic empowerment for women across the country.
Acknowledging the pivotal role women play in national development, the event emphasized their economic empowerment and endeavored to create opportunities for their meaningful participation in the renewable energy sector.
Caroline Eboumbou, Chief Executive Officer of All On, remarked, “As we commemorate International Women’s Day this year, it is imperative to recognize the crucial role women play in driving innovation and leading the charge towards a sustainable future, particularly within Nigeria’s renewable energy sector.

Thelma Ekiyor Solanke, Chairperson of The Nigeria Office for Philanthropy & Impact Investing (NPO), stated, “While the intention of investing in women-owned businesses is commendable, the reality often presents significant challenges. My experience in venture finance has revealed numerous obstacles, from a lack of awareness among women entrepreneurs to capital structures that do not cater to their needs.

The event featured insights from Teriye Gbadegesin, Chief Executive Officer of Climate Investment Funds (CIF), who encouraged women to embrace their fears as tools for achieving their goals. Other key stakeholders present urged All On and NPO to continue supporting women committed to renewable energy in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in creating a brighter, more sustainable future together.
