Africa Global Logistics Launches in Nigeria, Unveils Strategic Growth Plans.

Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a leading logistics solutions provider in Africa, has officially launched in Lagos, presenting its strategic plans aimed at transforming and growing Nigeria’s logistics landscape. The rebranded entity, formerly known as Bolloré Africa Logistics, marked the occasion with an event in Victoria Island, attended by prominent dignitaries, including representatives of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and key industry stakeholders.

The Country Managing Director of AGL Nigeria, Etienne Rocher, highlighted the significance of the rebranding and the company’s commitment to Nigeria’s future. “Today marks more than just a rebranding for us. It symbolizes our evolution, our growth, and our dedication to shaping the future of logistics in Nigeria.

We are immensely grateful for your presence here as our esteemed clients, partners, suppliers, and integral stakeholders. Your trust and collaboration have been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to continuing to serve you with even greater efficiency and innovation,” Rocher said.

Strategic Pillars for Transformation and Growth

AGL’s launch represents a critical advancement in strengthening the company’s footprint in Africa and leveraging Nigeria’s dynamic logistics sector. The company’s strategic plans focus on four key pillars: digitalization, energy transition, intra-African trade, and investment in local talent.

Digitalization: AGL plans to harness advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. This includes investing in temperature-controlled warehousing and re-opening an inland container depot in Ijanikin to streamline logistics operations.

Energy Transition: The company is committed to sustainable practices and aims to reduce its carbon footprint while improving energy efficiency across its operations.

Intra-African Trade: By supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), AGL aims to enhance trade competitiveness and support industrialization efforts across the continent.

Investment in Local Talent: AGL plans to nurture local talent through specialized training programs, addressing Africa’s demographic challenges while promoting digital transformation.
