Ademola Ogunbanjo has been appointed as the President and CEO of Oando Clean Energy Limited (OCEL), a subsidiary of Oando Plc, marking a significant step in the company’s pursuit of sustainable energy solutions in Nigeria and across Africa. This leadership transition, announced via LinkedIn, emphasizes Ogunbanjo’s pivotal role in advancing OCEL’s climate-friendly projects, reinforcing Oando’s commitment to green energy initiatives.

With a diverse background in banking, telecommunications, and oil and gas, Ogunbanjo brings extensive industry experience to his new role. Before this appointment, he served as the Executive Vice President at OCEL, working closely with Ainojie Alexander Irune (PhD), the former President and CEO. His time as Executive Vice President allowed him to lead OCEL’s renewable energy projects, establishing himself as a forward-thinking leader in the energy sector.
