ACT Foundation Gears Up for 8th Breakfast Dialogue to Drive Collaborative Leadership in Africa

Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation is set to host its 8th annual Breakfast Dialogue (BFD) on Thursday, October 10, 2024. After seven successful years of driving sustainable development and inspiring actionable solutions, this year’s event promises to be transformative, focusing on fostering collaborative leadership across sectors to achieve sustainable growth in Africa.

Themed “Collaborative Leadership: Bridging Sectors for Sustainable Development in Africa”, the 2024 Breakfast Dialogue will gather experts and stakeholders from various fields, with the goal of exploring innovative strategies for harnessing collaborative leadership. The event has gained recognition as a leading platform for thought leadership and cross-sectoral partnerships that drive positive change across the continent.

“No single entity—whether government, private sector, or nonprofit—can tackle Africa’s challenges alone. It is through partnerships and collaboration that we unlock the potential to build a sustainable world,” stated Osayi Alile, CEO of ACT Foundation. Her remarks emphasize the significance of this year’s dialogue, which aims to reshape traditional leadership models, paving the way for a new era of innovation and collaboration.

The keynote address will be delivered by Ricardo Michel, Co-CEO of The Palladium Group, who will delve into the role of collaborative leadership in advancing sustainable development. Joining him will be an impressive lineup of speakers, including Susan Davis, Equitable Philanthropy Advisor; Aline Varre, Director of Strategy & Business Development at PIND Foundation; Thelma Ekiyor-Solanke, Chairperson of the Nigeria Office for Philanthropy & Impact Investing (NPO); Vincent Otieno Odhiambo, East Africa Regional Director at Ashoka; Nneka Okekearu, Director of the Enterprise Development Centre at Pan Atlantic University; Francis Okoye, Faculty Member at Lagos Business School; and Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO of the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center.

A key highlight of the event will be the announcement of the finalists and winners of the 2024 ACT Foundation Changemakers Innovation Challenge. These outstanding individuals and organizations will receive grant funding and technical support from the ACT Foundation, empowering them to expand their impact in local communities.
