PETAN Hosts Gov Wike, Kachikwu, Baru, Others at 2018 Dinner

The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) will host Governor Nyesom Wike at PETAN 2018 Dinner/Award night in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
In a press statement signed by PETAN Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ranti Omole, it was stated that Governor Wike will be the Special Guest of Honour at the Dinner/Award night, with the theme: “Forging Ties, Driving Growth Stability Through Nigerian Content Cooperation.”
The statement further stated that several key industry experts will be
identified for their prominent role and contribution to the growth of
the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
It noted that the Minister of State
for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, will lead other industry
dignitaries to the award/dinner. Kachikwu is expeted to deliver
industry policy statement while the Group Managing Director of
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Mainkanti Baru will give keynote address. The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Development Board (NCDMB), Simbi Wabote will be recognized during the award night.
The award recipients include: Shell Petroleum Development Company
(SPDC), Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Oilserv Group, Mr. Emeka Okwuosa and Laser Engineering and Resources Consultant Ltd.
Others are Mr. Anthony Ellis, Mr. Stephen Aribeana, Nigeria Agip Oil
Company (NAOC), Mr. Yusuf Matashi. PETAN’s annual industry achievement awards’ ceremony offers eminent industry players an opportunity to interact and network under a cosy atmosphere and sets the tone for ending the year of hard work. PETAN is made up of Nigerian indigenous oilfield service companies and was founded to utilize the technical know-how acquired in the oil and gas industry by Nigerians as a springboard for economic and technological advancement. PETAN companies employ over 20,000 engineers and other technical personnel with a direct employment of about 80,000 people. PETAN companies offer 250 distinct technical services to the Nigerian oil industry and many of these companies now parade similar services in Mauritania, Ghana, Cameroun, Equitorial Guinea, Congo, Gabon, Chad,
Angola, South Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia and the United States.
