NNPC petrol stations to run on solar power – Baru

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Tuesday, said it plans to venture into solar power generation and is also considering powering all its retail outlets with electricity from solar energy.

He stated that as part of NNPC’s expanded programme on providing renewable energy solutions, the corporation was planning to power all its retail outlets by means of Solar PhotoVoltaic, PV, facilities.

He further noted that the NNPC would develop grid and off-grid solar power as a business, thereby enhancing its contribution to the clean fuels initiative of the Federal Government.
