Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) Warns Against False Recruitment Information

Chevron Nigeria Limited (“CNL”), operator of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and CNL Joint Venture, has raised concerns about the circulation of fraudulent recruitment information across various media and online platforms. These false adverts, which claim to be from CNL and Chevron Corporation, offer job positions and demand payments in exchange for job slots. Reports indicate that these deceptive offers are being distributed through emails, text messages, and phone calls by individuals posing as representatives of CNL and Chevron Corporation.

CNL categorically dissociates itself from these false recruitment activities and declares that the company has not authorized any such publications.

The public is strongly advised that:

  • CNL does not request payments at any stage of its recruitment process.
  • Any job offer that requires payment is fraudulent and not from CNL.
  • CNL does not initiate recruitment through emails, phone calls, posters, handbills, text messages, or social media platforms.

Job seekers are urged to verify legitimate job openings directly on the official Chevron careers website at http://www.careers.chevron.com or through national newspapers.

CNL will not respond to inquiries regarding fraudulent advertisements or job offers.
